Indo-Aryan (North Indian) communities
An umbrella for many South Asian peoples.
Overview
Indo-Aryan is a language family rather than a single nationality, spanning Punjabi, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati and other North Indian and broader South Asian communities. In Montreal they are concentrated in Parc-Extension, LaSalle and Côte-des-Neiges.
Gurdwaras, temples, mosques and South Asian markets serve a diverse, multi-faith population.
