VRFX — virtual reality arena in Dorval, in the West Island, close to Montréal-Trudeau airport. Immersive on-site virtual reality experiences in multiplayer and free-roam formats, supervised by staff. The venue hosts groups: outings with friends, family activities, birthday parties, corporate and team-building events, and school groups. The participant wears a standalone or backpack-connected headset with no cable overhead, and physically walks through a room whose position is tracked by sensors. Several people can share the same room and see each other in the virtual world.
The participant stays at a station — seated, standing in a marked zone, or in a simulator — and moves through the virtual world using controllers. The headset is often connected to a computer.
